Ewan House is happy to be able to offer furniture from Antix (selected pieces of Antix furniture are on view in our showroom) which is manufactured in the South of France. They lead their field in creating Oak furniture that captures the past. The choice in colour and finish make it possible to personalise each piece.
Antix is entirely made of solid Oak including the backs and shelves. The timber is selected for its natural characteristics, so that no two pieces will be exactly alike. To maintain this rustic look, splits and holes in the wood will be filled (and should not be considered a fault). Cabinet makers spend time making quality tenon and mortice joints, with wooden nails traditionally hand fixed. A specialist team has then "aged" each piece with 15 different hand tools using secret distressing techniques gained by 25 years of experience. The final patina has been very carefully applied using "popote" (a mixture of bees wax and other ingrediants to give the depth of colour) which soaks into the wood giving the very special finish.
All pieces are available in 6 stain finishes or an ivory paint colour. There are 4 different levels of distress Soft, Light, Standard and Heavy.
Please contact Diana for a brochure and to discuss the extensive designs and choice of finishes available. There is also the opportunity to have alterations made to the standard designs or have new items "made from scratch".
