A large family, a large kitchen, but, as you can see from the 'before' shots, not enough space to hide the detritus of family life.
With discussion and subsequent careful planning this family now has everything in its place and a place for everything! They also have the benefit of a corner fridge. This is disguised behind a single door next to the pull-out larder unit, when opened it has a 'Tardis' effect and gives incredible storage for the increasing amount of food that now needs to be stored at cool temperatures.
Other features included the facility for the television which was hidden until needed above the microwave and pulled out on a swivel tray, even the dog was given a 'kennel' in a specially designed sideboard. The bed pulled out for ease of cleaning. Special alcoves were formed in the kitchen to give space for cookbooks and display, these were lit with downlighters to help towards the evening ambiance.
